I was desperate for good coffee whilst in Canada in March 2008 (read more http://heresysnowboarding.blogspot.com/2008/02/day-2-sleep-more-coffee.html and http://heresysnowboarding.blogspot.com/2008/02/day-4-downtime.html ), trying a bunch of places in town before finding Oso Negro. There was another not-bad place in town, two actually, but this one was the shizzle. I'll be posting more about places in Canada with Oso pretty soon, until then, they have a PDF http://www.osonegrocoffee.com/coffee/business_listing.pdf listing all the spots. So, Oso. The girls serving? All cute, and delightfully cheerful. The coffee - I didn't have ONE bad one. All excellent. I can't recall if I was onto Soy at that stage, I think it wasn't until April 2008 when Matt B got me onto soy coffees at the Apollo Bay music festival. Anyway. Food? They just have some sandwhiches/foccacias and muffins etc, but the shizzle is their vegetarian breakfast muffin. Eggs, cheese and this delicious tomatoe chutney sauce thing. Do it up. The place is delightful, locals every morning with their puppy dogs, sitting inside and out, breath steaming in the cold air. Roll up, and you won't be disappointed. 8/10 stars.
