Let down by serving of Bonsoy

Well that was a disappointment. I haven't been to Globe in a couple of years, since before it's renovation. I dropped in before work at about 7AM, as part of the Chapel St Project. I ordered a ristretto and plain latte. The ristretto was really, really good. Sweet, not bitter. The latte was also very good. So, you may be thinking why I was disappointed? When I ordered, I asked what soy they used. The girl serving me responded with "Bonsoy". Ordinarily, that's great, but at the moment, not so much http://wherespresso.com/news/health-alert-bonsoy-soy-milk-recalled/. When I responded with "you know it's been recalled, right?" I got a "yes, but our supplier hasn't informed us." WTF? You know there's a potentially serious health issue for your customers around this product, yet you continue to offer it, just because your supplier hasn't informed you? Call me picky, but given the health issues my friends and I have experienced (heart, thyroid, fatigue etc) as a result of consuming Bonsoy, I expect a shop to pull it from the shelves regardless of whether you have official notification. It's like serving peanut butter you know has salmonella, all because you're supplier hasn't notified you. Horrifying. The coffee gets an 8.5, the attitude takes the experience score down to 4.
