Not too bad

Food ok-good, coffee average
Funny old thing the Elefant. It used to be Cafe 73, and only when my friend Jess worked there did good coffee come out. Then new owners came in, and the food quality went right up. The only thing missing was a re-fit. I was going to write a letter to the owner with suggestions but then it closed and got renovated almost to exactly how I imagined it. Anyway. Food is good here. The eggs are NOT free range. The owner tells me she can't quite afford it yet, but not having free range eggs is a big no-no. Coffee isn't too bad either. Nothing crazy good, just respectable, depending on who makes it - which in my mind is not acceptable. If you care about coffee you make sure the people making it care. You can see the latte below has too much head. Worth a visit, but Limoncello across the road, and Ludo near the supermarket do way better coffee, but NONE of them use Bonsoy. It's a travesty.

Free range eggs are now on the menu and the coffee is awsome!!! The food is amazing, better than many resturants I know. Hours are 8am to 4pm Tues to Sunday. Their soy chai latte is to die for.

Very respectable
I dropped in here the other day.
The omelette was interesting and well presented, and overall pretty good.
The coffee, for me, is still disappointing.
A double ristretto comes out as a double espresso, and lacks the short, syrupy deliciousness I've been spoilt with by bastions of coffee excellence such as Dead Man, Crue, Outpost etc.
There are other The latte was certainly ok, but not on the same levels as places like Midali, Miss Jackson, Dead Man, Market Lane etc (very, very serious coffee company to keep, admittedly).
In terms of other options in Sandy,
