Not too bad
1 January 1970 (web)
Best of an average lot
Well. That was unexpected. After a disappointing coffee week on the south coast of NSW (you can read more here about that), this was the last coffee place to try as we headed out of Eden. And "Cuppaz"? I mean, really.
I'd walked into a few places in Eden and its surrounds and turned around and walked straight out. Usually what I saw did not inspire confidence.
I'd poked my head in here earlier and not grabbed a coffee, but this time the lure of the Byron Bay Coffee Company sign was too strong.
Anyway, I walked in, and as with most things in Eden, it's a mum/dad/kids operation and I was very suspicious that the mum hadn't been to barista school. But I gave her a chance anyway (I'm super nice like that).
I made sure I asked for it not to be too hot, as every other coffee during this trip had been at 55-65 degrees which is way too hot for me.
Coffee took ages, but as I sipped it in the car on the way out of town, I was surprised.
Coffee was fresh, strong, and the soy milk wasn't burnt and folded nicely. It was actually very acceptable, not outstanding, just respectable.
6/10 for me, best of an average bunch.

best coffe i've ever tasted.
i strongly suggest visiting cuppaz in eden. wow best coffe ever. not bitter, very smooth. cleanest cafe i've ever been to aswell. staff are lovely. the new owners of cuppaz cafe obviously have great pride in their business and it shows in every thing they do. i've been in quite a few times and have always had a wonderful food and coffee experience. even if it's busy as hell and i have to wait for my order, it's definitely worth it. give it a go... u won't be disappointed.
